Rugs hide an enormous amount of grit in the base of the pile, and many are made from dyes that will run if they’re cleaned like a fitted carpet. That’s why we always test for colour fastness and fibre type first.
Depending on the rug, we either clean in your home with controlled moisture or collect it, treat it properly and return it clean and dry. Fringes are cleaned by hand and the pile is groomed so it sits right again.
From modern shaggy rugs to handmade wool pieces, we’ll tell you honestly what results to expect before any work starts.

Most synthetic and wool-blend rugs, yes. Delicate, antique or heavily soiled rugs are better collected and cleaned off-site.
